About Send CofE Primary School
Send CofE Primary School is a warm and welcoming two-form primary situated in the picturesque village of Send. As a 'Good' (Ofsted '24) school, we are deeply committed to fostering a safe and joyful environment where children love learning and thrive. Our recent inspection highlighted that "pupils are happy and behave well" and "leaders are ambitious for all pupils."
Embodying Christian values of compassion, respect, and service, we are a truly collaborative, dynamic, and child-centered setting where our children really are at the heart of everything we do.
The Opportunity

The Role
The Finance & Resources Manager ensures strong, accurate, and compliant financial management while overseeing health & safety routines, premises logistics, contractor management, and resource allocation across the school. You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, monitor budgets, and support senior leaders and governors with timely insight and forecast. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining site compliance, managing supplier contracts, and ensuring efficient resource management across the school estate.

- Hold a relevant professional business management, finance, or facilities qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 4, CIMA, ACCA, AAT, IOSH) or be demonstrably qualified by experience.
- Possess sound working knowledge of financial controls, procurement guidelines, and basic health & safety compliance.
- Have excellent IT skills (Excel/Google Workspace) and experience using finance and management reporting tools.
- Possess excellent communication, organisational, and negotiation skills with an ability to build positive relationships with contractors, staff, and our wider school community.
What We Can Offer You
- A friendly, motivated, and supportive office and school team.
- Happy, enthusiastic, well-behaved children who love learning.
- A family-friendly school environment supporting a healthy work-life balance.
- Continuous professional development alongside comprehensive induction and support.
- The chance to truly make a new role your own and define financial and operational processes from the ground up.
